    What curriculum does Valistus International School offer?

    Valistus offers a globally benchmarked curriculum that nurtures learners from their early years to pre-university.

    From Year Group (Grade) 1 onwards, students follow the Cambridge Pathways Curriculum, an internationally recognized program known for its structured learning, inquiry-based approach and rigorous assessment. which includes.

    • Cambridge Primary (Year Group 1-5)
    • Cambridge Lower Secondary: (Year Group 6-8)
    • Cambridge Upper Secondary: IGCSE (Year Group 9-10)
    • Cambridge Advanced: (A & AS levels) Year Group 11 to commence from Academic year 2026-27

    In addition, Valistus is a Candidate School for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and is currently in the authorization phase to offer this prestigious programme for Year Groups 11 and 12, with the first IBDP cohort set to begin in 2026-27.

    What are the school timings and academic calendar?

    At Valistus, school timings are structured to meet the developmental needs of learners across different stages:

    • Early Years (Pre-Nursery to Nursery): 9:15 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
    • Foundation Stage (Lower KG and Upper KG): 9:15 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
    • Year Groups (Grades 1 and above): 7:50 a.m. – 2:45 p.m., Monday to Friday
    • Year Groups (6 and above): Additionally, two Saturdays a month, 7:50 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

    The academic year begins in July and concludes in May, with scheduled breaks in between.

    Does the school have a Day-care facility?

    Yes. Valistus offers extended day-care facilities for learners in EY1 and EY2 (pre-nursery and nursery), available until 2:50 p.m., with additional charges applicable.

    Are there extracurricular and co-curricular activities?
    Yes! Valistus offers a wide range of activities under Sports Excellence and Visual & Performing Arts, learners at Valistus receive all-round development. Sports options include Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Gymnastics, Golf, Basketball, Football, Karate, Table Tennis, Skating, Cricket and Fencing. Learners can also explore music, dance, visual arts, robotics, coding, yoga and drama - encouraging creativity, teamwork and holistic growth.
    What is the maximum class strength?
    The maximum class strength is 25 students.
    What is the student-teacher ratio in Kindergarten and Early Primary Years ?
    Each class with a capacity of 25 students has a main teacher and a teaching assistant along with a nanny.
    Is food provided at the school?
    Yes. Food is mandatory for all students at Valistus. Meals are freshly prepared on campus by an experienced catering partner, offering a nutritious vegetarian diet with eggs included. The menu balances Indian staples with oriental and international cuisines, catering to our diverse community of foreign nationals and NRIs. Planned in consultation with a nutritionist, the meals ensure health, balance and variety, with menus regularly shared with parents.
    Is transport available?
    Yes, Valistus offers a safe and reliable school transport service covering most areas of East and South Bangalore, including Whitefield, Kundanahalli, Varthur, Mahadevpura, Hoskote, Krishnarajpuram, Saukya Road etc. The service is optional and can be availed based on the parent’s preference.
    Each bus is equipped with AC, CCTV cameras, GPS-enabled app tracking and a dedicated attendant, ensuring comfort, safety and real-time monitoring for parents.
    Is the IB Diploma Programme recognized in India?
    Yes. The IB Diploma has been recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) since 1983, and IB Courses since 2016. Students who meet the IB requirements (24 points, with 3 subjects at Higher Level and 3 at Standard Level) are eligible to apply to all Indian universities.
