In our Foundation Stage one classroom, stories turned intmagical o creations under the theme Language and Communication. Inspired by “What the Ladybird Heard” and “The Gruffalo,” our young learners listened, discussed, and then brought their favourite characters to life through hands-on clay modelling.
As they shaped the gentle ladybird and the clever little mouse, learners strengthened fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination and finger strength, while deepening listening, comprehension and expressive language skills. Through rolling, pressing and moulding, they revisited story sequences and confidently shared their ideas and imagination.
A joyful blend of language, creativity and sensory exploration - where tiny hands created big learning moments. 🌟
