14th October 2026Healthy Habits, Happy Learners – Parent as a Resource
15th October 2026Learners of Year Group 9 had an enriching and fascinating visit to the Traffic Management Centre in Bengaluru, where they gained a firsthand understanding of how technology is transforming the way traffic is managed in a rapidly growing city.
The visit offered learners an insightful look at the evolution of traffic management—from the days when traffic police manually controlled busy junctions to the use of AI-driven cameras and advanced monitoring systems today. The officer briefed the learners on how traffic management has evolved alongside the city’s growth and the increasing challenges faced by traffic police in managing congestion and ensuring road safety across Bengaluru.
One of the most exciting parts of the visit was witnessing the live monitoring systems. Learners observed how the control centre can monitor traffic situations, detect violations, and respond to incidents in real time. They were also introduced to the wearable live cameras used by traffic police, enabling greater connectivity and real-time awareness while they are on duty. The learners were particularly intrigued by how technology and coordinated traffic management help create smoother passage for ambulances and other emergency vehicles, ensuring that critical services can reach their destinations more efficiently.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to understand the intersection of technology, civic responsibility, public safety, and urban management. It also gave them a deeper appreciation of the dedicated work of the traffic police—the often-unseen heroes who work tirelessly to keep Bengaluru’s busy roads safer and more organised.
For our future citizens, it was truly a meaningful learning experience beyond the classroom, reminding them that a smart city is built not only through technology but also through responsible citizens and dedicated people working together.
