Learning is Word Power in Year Group 2 ✨📚
Our Year Group 2 learners participated in an engaging English activity focused on prefixes and suffixes. Each learner was given two chits, each containing a root word. They discussed with their classmates whether a prefix or a suffix could be added to the word and then placed the chits under the correct headings on the Prefixes and Suffixes chart displayed in the classroom.
The class also explored the meanings of the newly formed words and practised using them correctly in sentences. This interactive activity encouraged collaboration, critical thinking and vocabulary development.
Our young learners were enthusiastic and confident while sharing their ideas, making the learning experience both enjoyable and meaningful! 🌟
