Our Year Group -1 learners enjoyed a delightful hands-on session preparing simple vegetable soup. As the vegetables simmered, they observed how heat changes food - connecting their cooking experience to their Science lesson on change of state and reversible and irreversible changes.
They discovered how raw vegetables transform when cooked and understood that some changes cannot be reversed — real learning happening right in the pot!
Beyond cooking, they practised sharing, taking turns, and listening carefully, building confidence along with essential life skills.
