Year Group 1 learners recently dove into the world of measurement through a fun, hands-on activity that linked Science and Math. With support from their teachers, they used strings to measure head circumference and height, gaining firsthand insight into how people grow and change. Using colorful blocks, they eagerly counted and compared sizes—turning abstract ideas into something tangible and engaging.
This playful yet purposeful activity sparked curiosity and scientific thinking, as children observed, questioned, and recorded their findings. By using non-standard units like blocks, they developed foundational math skills while learning how scientists collect and analyze data. These joyful, transdisciplinary experiences are helping our learners grow into curious thinkers, budding mathematicians, and lifelong learners! 🌍
