Our FS 2 Learners embarked on an exciting challenge—“Rescue the Toys and Food from the Ice!”
To spark their curiosity, toys, rice, and lentils were frozen inside ice trays, creating a fun scientific puzzle. Learners were eager to observe, predict, and experiment as they explored different ways to melt the ice and free the hidden objects.
Using warm water, salt, a hair dryer, and tapping tools, they investigated how various materials and conditions influence the melting process. As they worked, learners shared ideas, tested their predictions, and carefully observed the changes taking place. They discovered that temperature and materials directly affect the speed of melting, making real-world connections to scientific concepts in a hands-on way.
Through this engaging hands-on activity, learners not only discovered scientific concepts but also strengthened their logical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and vocabulary skills. A fun-filled way to connect classroom learning with real-world science! 🌍
