The Power Of Choices: A Year Group 8 Assembly

When we encounter real-life heroes in our midst, it's crucial to introduce them to our children so they can draw inspiration from their life journeys.

In a recent Year Group 8 assembly, students delved into the theme of "The Power of Your Choices" by inviting a parent with a remarkable life story to share. The assembly's center piece was a compelling skit titled "Crossroads of Conscience," where fictional characters confronted moral dilemmas. These characters included a businessman, a farmer, a techie, a college student, and an eight-year-old child, all navigating choices that put their moral compasses to the test.

Following the skit, Anahita and Viti took the stage to interview Mr. Abhishek Deheriya, a distinguished artist who operates his own studio and owns an art gallery. During this insightful conversation, Mr. Deheriya conveyed the profound impact of choices in life. He emphasized that at every juncture, we have choices that mold our destinies. His inspiring account included his personal journey of conquering fears and pursuing a career he was truly passionate about. Despite encountering numerous obstacles, he courageously left his high-profile job to follow his artistic calling.

This assembly left a lasting impression on everyone present, prompting deep reflection on the choices we make and the ethical dilemmas we may confront in our own lives. It served as a poignant reminder that our choices are the building blocks of our individual journeys and can shape the world around us.
