Year Group 4 learners explored the concept of magnetic strength through a hands-on investigation titled “Which Magnet is Strongest?”.
Using different types of magnets - bar, horseshoe and disc magnet, they conducted two engaging tests: the Paper Clip Pull Test and the Distance Test. Learners made predictions, measured distances using rulers, and counted the number of paper clips each magnet could attract. Their findings were systematically recorded in tables, integrating Mathematics to organize and compare data.
This learning experience encouraged observation, measurement, analysis, and reasoning skills while helping learners understand how the size, shape, and material of a magnet influence its strength.
