As part of their learning on the laws of indices, students of Year Group 8B actively participated in a plenary group activity. They were divided into small groups and engaged in a matching card game, where they had to correctly pair an unsimplified expression involving negative indices with the corresponding index law and its simplified form. This hands-on activity encouraged peer discussion, critical thinking, and concept reinforcement.
Following the group task, students individually solved an indices maze, applying their understanding of the rules to navigate through the correct path—further strengthening their grasp on simplifying expressions with indices.
The session was dynamic, collaborative, and a great way to consolidate their learning in an engaging manner.🔢🧩
