As part of the Core Science activity, learners explored the process of seed germination through a hands-on experiment. Using transparent cups, cotton, and soaked seeds, they created seed-sprouting setups and placed them near sunlight. Over the following days, learners watered the seeds and observed changes, noting that roots appeared before shoots and understanding that seeds require water, air and warmth to grow.
To deepen their learning, learners drew and labelled the different stages of growth, strengthening observation and basic scientific skills. The activity encouraged curiosity, responsibility, and a growing connection with nature, making the learning experience meaningful and memorable.
