Class assemblies let students showcase their skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Year Group 7 led this week's assembly, focusing on 'West Bengal' as Dussera and Durga Puja approach. Each student shared research on Bengal's Renaissance Era, handwoven textiles like Baluchari and Jamdani, Bengali cuisine, and eminent figures like Rabindrath Tagore and Bankim Chandra Chaterjee. They even learned a bit of Bangla while singing Tagore's 'Akla Cholo Re.'
Certificates and medals were awarded. Viti Jain of Year Group 8 stood out, reaching the finals of the Collins India Spelling Bee. Amogh Sarma of Year Group 7 secured second runner-up in a science experiment at an interschool competition by Global Citizen International School. Additionally, Dev Puthumana of Year Group 6, Viti Jain Year Group 8, and Aarav Gopal Year Group 9 clinched top positions in the state level of the International French Competition 2023-24, organized by Prayatna Educational Society and Alliance Française de Normandie, France.
