Happiness is not about feeling great all the time. It’s not always about new toys or sweet treats. It’s more about choosing positive and healthy things that make you feel good. This feeling of happiness can look like lots of things – feeling safe to relax, enjoying something you are good at, talking to nice friends, looking after your body, and being kind to yourself. This was the theme for the Year Group 5 assembly.
The students kicked off the festivities with a lively song that uplifted the spirits of all in attendance and set the tone for the day. They kept the good vibes going with a mesmerizing dance performance that celebrated the happiness found in movement and expression. We got to hear from a few of them about what happiness means to them.
And for a special treat, we had a comedy show lined up which tickled our funny bone and left us all in stitches. Finally, the audience was asked to write a word/phrase that makes them happy and stick it on the happiness wall.
