Valistus's students have actively engaged in numerous collaborative projects with School 606 in Pushkin, St. Petersburg, Russia. To uphold this fruitful partnership, we recently organised a presentation by the students of School 606. During the presentation, the students eloquently shared insights into how Russia was affected during WWII. They recounted the experiences of their great-great-grandparents who actively participated in the war, offering a first-hand account of their journey.
The presentation comprehensively covered the historical background, key events, and the impact on various monuments and places during WWII. The students also highlighted the efforts made by the country to restore these sites. This collaboration proved to be immensely beneficial for Valistus's students, particularly as they are currently studying WWII in their social studies curriculum. Witnessing the narratives of real war heroes' family members provided a valuable and immersive learning experience.
The speeches and presentations delivered by the students of School 606 were notably impressive. We express our gratitude to School 606 for orchestrating this enlightening presentation. We eagerly anticipate more collaborative endeavours in the future, fostering continued learning and cultural exchange between our students.
