On October 3rd, an entrepreneur from Clever Harvey, an organization offering JuniorMBA programs, visited our school. These programs, comprising short 15-hour courses, provide teenagers with an opportunity to immerse themselves in various corporate roles. They aim to unlock industry certifications and equip students with essential skills for success in the real world. During the visit, students from Year Groups 6 to 10 gained valuable insights into planning and commencing a business.
The session commenced with an engaging presentation. The first slide sparked a discussion about potential businesses that students could start at a train station. A myriad of ideas was suggested and thoroughly analyzed, weighing their profitability and feasibility. The students learned the importance of choosing a business that caters to a broad customer base, is easily manageable, and cost-effective to ensure a smooth operation without incurring losses. Additionally, they took note of key terms. The facilitator concluded the presentation by sharing information about Junior MBA, emphasizing its role in providing a platform for students to virtually intern in multinational companies based on their interests. The program offers certificates of completion and recommendations that significantly enhance college admissions.
